Frequently Asked Questions
We know that there are often plenty of questions about receiving ABA services, but answers are sometimes hard to come by. We are here to help you and answer your questions.
We currently service these counties in the state of New Jersey: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, and Passaic. Are you located outside of these locations? Leave us a message and we will let you know our plans on expanding our locations.
Just one thing: give us a call or send an email inquiring about services. We are ready and available to answer all your questions and guide you through the next steps.
Once you’ve contacted us, we’ll promptly return your call or email. When we speak, we’ll first discuss a few preliminary details. After that, we’ll begin the intake process.
The intake process consists of discussing some relevant information, filling out/gathering a few forms, and then contacting insurance to request and approve an assessment.
Once the intake process is complete and insurance approves an assessment, one of our highly qualified and dedicated BCBAs will meet with you and your child to assess your child and gather some more information from you. This should only take a couple of hours. After the assessment, the BCBA will complete a report for insurance, detailing the recommended number of service hours, along with a comprehensive treatment and behavior plan. This report is then sent to insurance for approval. Once the treatment plan is approved by your insurance, we can begin services.
Although we all want services to begin the next day or as soon as possible, the duration of time from when you contact us until your child begins therapy can vary. It often very much depends on your insurance and what their timeframes are. On our end, we work to immediately reach out to insurance to verify all relevant information and request an assessment. At each step of the process, we are quick to complete the necessary items and paperwork and send them off to insurance to ensure that your child receives therapy as soon as possible.
We are happy to accept insurance. If your insurance is not yet approved to provide services, we will work either with your insurance or privately to come to a satisfactory agreement.
Intake - Assessment - Treatment. It's that simple. First we work with you to ensure that the necessary details are in order and sent to insurance when requesting an assessment. Then, one of our highly skilled and passionate BCBAs will assess your child and complete a comprehensive treatment and behavior plan. The report is then sent to insurance for approval. Once approved, services can begin.
